The Cryo-Electron Microscopy Laboratory at LNNano works in the field of Nanobiosciences, within a strategic environment for cutting-edge research and innovative applications in human, animal, and environmental health.
Additionally, it operates a world-class open-access cryo-electron microscopy facility.
RESEARCH LINES
The Cryo-Electron Microscopy Laboratory works on the determination of protein structures and the development of cryo-EM methods for structural biology.
The laboratory counts with state-of-the-art facilities for sample preparation, cryo-electron microscopy experiments, and data processing
INSTRUMENTATION
- 4 transmission cryo-electron microscopes, including a high-performance Titan Krios microscope
- Extensive infrastructure for sample preparation
- High-performance computing cluster
- FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography) and associated equipment for protein purification
